Hormones & homeostasis
Its all a question of balance

Homeostasis ? the maintenance of internal conditions in the body within narrow limits
There are many variables that the body must maintain within certain limits for it to function properly
E.g. Blood pH; CO2 concentration; Blood glucose concentration; Body Temperature; Water Balance
Our bodies undergo a series of physiological changes if these variables move beyond a certain 'normal' range
The nervous & endocrine systems are in charge of maintaining homeostasis
