Madigan Lavery Mrs. Ashton English 9 1 April 2011 Criminal Psychology ?The basic premise is that behavior reflects personality,? explains George McCrary, FBI supervisory agent and associate of the National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime (McCrary). In this quotation, McCrary is addressing his philosophy of criminal psychology. McCrary is a strong advocate for its use and advancement. Criminal psychology is the use of psychological aspects of people in order to locate, identify, or prosecute a criminal. It is a study somewhere in between psychology and law enforcement (Esherick 5). Contrary to popular belief, criminal psychology is a very beneficial career with a wide variety of plausible job specifications and methods of achieving those jobs.
