In this quotation, McCrary is addressing his philosophy of criminal psychology. McCrary is a strong advocate for its use and advancement. Criminal psychology is the use of psychological aspects of people in order to locate, identify, or prosecute a criminal. It is a study somewhere in between psychology and law enforcement (Esherick 5). Contrary to popular belief, criminal psychology is a very beneficial career with a wide variety of plausible job specifications and methods of achieving those jobs.
