#1. What is Genetic Engineering? > Genetic Engineering is the process used to artificially manipulate someone?s or something?s genes. This process can be used to create hybrids of plants and animals. Genetic Engineering generally speaking is an act of modifying parts of a DNA and can change the subjects? natural behavior. A gene is the basic unit of heredity in a living organism. Genetic engineering is about getting a gene from one thing and putting that new gene somewhere else, probably to compensate for one that is not working properly or to create new characteristics. #2. What are three positive points to Genetic Engineering? > Genetic Engineering can be used to increase the nutritional value to certain foods, and even change the taste for certain foods for the better.
