A Bill to Ban Animal Testing in the United States Animal testing is defined as the use of animals in experiments and development projects usually to determine toxicity, dosing and efficiency of test drugs before proceeding to human clinical trials. Aside from the moral issues of animal testing, the results are rarely relevant to humans. Because the anatomy of animals is not identical to that of a person, the effects of the test material on animals can vary from the effects towards humans. This can either cause the human clinical trials to end fatally, or prevent a helpful product from reaching the public.
