Zenger Trial Primary Source Text APUS1
The Epochal Zenger Trial (1735) Andrew Hamilton greatly affected America?s democratic system by proving a new way of justice in the courts. In the Zenger Trial, he shows that what Zenger was accused of could be argued and proven wrong. He was able to argue his case and he made steps to what our justice system today frequently uses: the principal of ?innocent until proven guilty? and the ability to argue one?s case in court.
