6 Introduction to the Class Monday, January 31, 2011 11:16 AM Vietnam is the longest war that the US got involved in. We have gotten US supplies in Vietnam since 1955. The reason why 1955 is so important is because l-955 is the year when the US decides to take over what the French were unable to do. The Thing about Vietnam is it's a country that is defined by the idea that other: people have conquered it . It spent about half of it's known existence under someone's control by either the Chinese or the French.
