Both Western European and Japanese feudalism were similar in that fact that they both developed for protection for themselves. They are also similar in ways, politically, socially, and economically. In Japan and Western Europe, politically they both have a strict system, but Western Europe had some more demanding points and rule. Both have to give up a portion of their crops.
