Kristen Kee Mrs. Brenner AP English/ Period I 22 November 2011 Night Excerpt Analysis Essay No one has experienced anything more life changing than Eli Wiesel. He survived a concentration camp in Auschwitz and lived to tell the story. Eli Wiesel uses anaphora, simile, and diction to emphasize the tone and meaning of a passage from his book. In this excerpt, Eli Wiesel clearly shows how he feels about being in Auschwitz and he clearly defines the purpose of why he wrote this part in his book.

Religion – Samaritan Stories Isabel Trillizio December 4, 2010 1. All the stories have Samaritans who were out casted by the Jews, putting others before themselves and being good respectful people. 2. Samaritans were despised by the Jews, because the Samaritans were sometimes hostile, and also the fact that the Jews believed that they could become contaminated by passing through Samaritan territory. 3. In the story of the Good Samaritan I would identify the most to the man the Good Samaritan helps because everyone has bad days just like the man. All we need to make our days brighter is someone to come and make us feel better just like the Good Samaritan did.
