Also they would have to try and see how they could improve their experiment to support their hypothesis. The observation, as you don?t really need to observe something thoroughly to make a hypothesis, and when a hypothesis is supported, there is no real need to go back and continue do it over and over again I think. If a population is decreasing in size, then there are more death rates than birth rates.
