Origin: Christianity has its basis in Judaism. The first part of the Bible, the Old Testament, is the Torah from Judaism. The second part of the Bible, the New Testament, is written by the disciples of Jesus about God, Jesus, and his teachings. According to Christianity, Jesus is the Messiah and is the son of God who was sent to Earth to die on the cross for our sins.
