It also gave a rich supply of coal, oil, metal ores and minerals. Forests cover the lower part of the mountains, so it also provides lumber. It causes problems in transportation and agriculture as it covers 43% of China?s land surface. It also isolated China from other nations, decreasing communication and trade between nations.
