The movement held political, social, and economic agendas which sought to solve the problems of the post Civil War era ? problems which included monopoly, corruption, inefficiency, and injustice. Mainly middle class reformers who felt pressure from all sides, they changed America and kept the country steady for the next 60 years into the Vietnam Era.
