Dividing line runs North-South and allots more land to Spain. Treaty of Tordesillas Uprising in Virginia Colony in 1676. Nathaniel led this due to resentment of the friendly Indian policies. These policies were created by Governer William Berkeley. Bacon?s Rebellion Spain attacks Britain by sea. Intention was to overthrow Queen Elizabeth I. Spanish defeated due to bad weather and strategic errors. Defeat of the Spanish Armada Virginia Company granted charter to settle in the new world. This settlement was founded on May 24 1607. Originally occupied by about 100 men.
