Course: AP/Pre AP World History Unit I: The Emergence of Civilization Introduction Date(s): Thursday, Sept. 2nd and Friday, Sept 3rd, Unit Understanding Civilizations include advanced cities, complex institutions, specialized jobs, social classes, record keeping, and new technology. Homework HOOK The hook is based upon the universal generalization and should be something that all students can answer. Which is true: Man is created by his environment or the environment is created by man? Explain your answer. LINE The line is activities such as graphically organized notes that allow students to learn the unit generalization. Working in groups students will record information and create a GPERSIA chart using artifact placards from Mesopotamia.
