This is the 2nd installment of what is now a 3 installment article!
Couple of weeks ago, I wrote to you about Ramadan to answer popular questions. Last time I wrote to you about the inside details of Ramadan and how it works. But what I think people don't get is why? Why on earth would you do this to yourself? Why forbid yourself from eating AND drinking for 15 hours? I get looks and questions that you would not believe. So here I am again to clear up some issues. And for those of you do not want to read another blog about Ramadan or Islam’s inside workings. Then Don’t.
So we are into our last week of Ramadan! wohoo! Now, we fast because it was written as command in our Koran for Muslims followers to fast during this month. That is above all the reason why millions of Muslims fast. Secondly, because it cleanses you. After this month. the toxins from your body have been heavily reduced. This is great for your body, but it also helps those out who want to lose weight=) But most importantly fasting is not going to harm your health,, AT ALL. It is good for your body and those who continually fast also feel closer to their religion. Which is above all the best part.
See you at Eid in a week! Then I'll right about the rituals of Eid. Which is the holiday after Ramadan. We celebrate the end of our fasting with simple rituals and gift exchanges. It is most importantly a time of togetherness.
I hope I answered some of your questions!
