The questions are not there to trip you up, and they are not designed to make you look bad. The best thing you can do when filling out a college application is just to be honest in answering the questions, and read them carefully. Make sure you know what the question really is asking you, so that you don't stray off topic.
If you don't have experience in something that the application is asking about, just put an n/a or a line in the box. That lets those who look at your application and consider it understand that you saw the question and read it, and that you did not have information to offer for that question. Don't leave places blank unless you are asked to, because it looks as though you either did not see the question or chose to ignore it.
