A general in the Spanish-American War who had previously fought in the Civil War cried out, "To hell with the Yankees! Dammit, I mean the Spaniards!"

Just a few...
About how England and France acted in the Munich conference...
"It was like giving a cannibal a finger in the hope of saving an arm."
TR on the election of 1916
"Fronting for the war, TR privately scoffed at Hughes as a "whiskered Wilson"; the only difference between the two, he said, was "a shave.""
After what TR cynics said after TR said he would carry out McKinley's policies...
"He would indeed carry them out to the garbage heap."
"Yet the expansionists or imperialists could sing a seductive song."
"... British, who now were ardently wooing their American cousins."
Lets talk about Henry Clay...
forgive me if i'm wrong i dont' have bailey with me right now but..... John Quincey Adams is called . . . . the cold scholarly son of the frigid and bookish ex-presidnet.
God is a cool dude, and the world is a pretty nifty place....that was my fav
Every now and then I'd laugh while reading the textbook because of some of the mini-editorials they'd put in.
That was a surprisingly decent textbook. I didn't die reading it cover to cover.

Oh I was never like "Yeah, time to read AP History!"
But like I said, I didn't die.
