I cannot find a single cracknin your argument. It was well thought out. I completely agree. The seperation of church and state means that the government can make gay marriage legal and religious groups have no say in it. Arguing about whether gay marriagebis right or wrong from a religious point of view is useless as it will have no effect on whether gay marriage will ever be legal everywhere. We should be arguing against politics not religion.

I think people, regardless of whether or not they think they're right, should not impose their beliefs upon anyone else. I, being a libertarian, also think that gay marriage should be legal because honestly, I could care less what people do with their lives. If a someone uses drugs, not my problem. If someone worships Satan, not my problem, though I won't think highly of them. If two gay people love each other and want to get married, they should be able to, because it's not our choice.

There isn't "gay marriage" When you go to a wedding, would you say "I'm going to a straight wedding!" or "I'm going to an interracial wedding!"? No, you'd just say you were going to a wedding. Marriage is marriage and love is love, no matter the genders/races/religions/etc of the partners. Being gay isn't genetic, and not everyone is a Christian or Catholic or has the view that being gay is a sin, so that's irrelevant. Also, if being gay is a sin has potential relevance, why does being gay suddenly become the only one that sends you to hell or the one that's worst than all of the others? I'm agnostic, used to be Christian, and the only sin that the bible says will send you straight to hell is blasphemy. All other sins are forgiven.

I feel the same way about gay marriage as I do about doing drugs or having premarital sex. If you don't like it, don't do it. We don't take away your right to get married because you do meth, or drink whiskey, or are Pentecostal instead of Catholic or anything like that.  So why take away that right for someone just because they are attracted to the same gender? Dumb.

Honestly the only problem I have with gay marriage is that legalizing gay marriage opens up the pathway to polygamy being legal among other types of marriage. Legalizing gay marriage means that the purpose of marriage is based on love for someone, so this would allow polygamy to be legal based on that "defitinion".

People should be allowed to do what they want with their lives
