as for how women can kill part of themselves... its all part of evolution we will do whatever we can to stay alive and on top of the food chain just like a fox caught in a trap gnawing off its own leg to escape humans are programmed to do whatever it takes to survive and in todays world that something can include an abortion... one instinct against another and survival will win...
again its not the abortion itself that bugs me... its the constant abuse of it that bugs me... it is a treatment that should be a last resort, not the out because some girl sleeped around... its one thing if your married or it would just be a one time thing... but like i said, people abuse it, and is people really want to avoid getting preganant, why not practice abstinence, then, unless through divine intervetion or freak event, no pregnancy

because it human nature to do what feels good, the constitution gives us the right to pursue happiness and if sleeping around is what makes a person happy then then they have that right, if removing an unborn child from there uterus and paying some guy loads of money to do it makes them happy then they have that right. Now I agree that the constant abuse is kind of annoying but if they want to constantly spend that money then thats their choice, and more stem cells to go toward research (although bush outlawed it..), but if a girl does sleep around is to stupid to use birth control and a condom, or if they do and, they get pregnant its still up to them whether or not they want the baby, not the government...
How could one such as myself answer such a question without so much as a second glance?
Well, it is wrong to deprive someone of his rights. Thus abortion, which is killing, deprives the unborn of their rights, so it's wrong.
However, denying abortion, deprives the pregnant from her rights, and is, therefore, wrong.
Considering this, we are at an impasse.
So, aborting can provide stem cells, free a person of a burden, and make people happy.
Not aborting can make a people happy, add a mind to society, and provide many means once that life is lived.
Pregnancy can come from many situations, carelessness, intention, and rape.
Pregnancy can endanger the life of the mother and the unborn, lead to a life of deformity for the unborn, and bring much heartache to those unprepared and prepared.
Pregnancy can bring much joy to both the mother and the unborn, could bring forth a genius, and bring a lifetime of joy to those unprepared and prepared.
Banning abortion can lead to more illegal abortions that can endanger the mother and the unborn. Plus the more risky types of abortion, like falling down staircases and such. Some lives may be saved, but many others would not. Perhaps many more would not.
Keeping abortion legal can prevent this, as cruel as it sounds, because at least then, risky methods would not be taken to get rid of unwanted babies, those who's lives are endangered by a birth could be saved. Legal abortion is the better option as far as saving lives is concerned. Plus, those who are against abortion can still be against it.
Also, a father's right in abortion should be considered.
I think that unless both parties are for abortion, and no one is endangered, there should not be an abortion, because the party who does not wish for the baby to be killed can always take complete custody for the child, or even just give the baby up for adoption.
Keeping abortion legal is the smartest choice once the facts are taken into consideration.

Alright... some things have changed since i was on here last...
I personally would not have an abortion if i was in that situation... i still think that it is wrong... and if a friend found herself in that situation, and she asked what i though and what i would do, i would tell her i would have the baby, and would consider adoption...
BUT
I dont have the right to tell someone what do with their body.. its their desicion...
but partial birth should be illegal... whole new level of sick and wrong

It seems a lot of people are starting to at least agree on the ban of partial birth abortion.

In my situation, if I got pregnant it would be my responsibility and I would never take the life out of a baby that is a part of me. Personally, I wouldn't do it to my child. Although, to those girls that would I think should have the opportunity to do as they please since they're affecting nobody else than their own.

So you would psychologically try to make her have the baby? By telling her oh I don't know what you should do but I would have the baby. You're making her think that that is what is best for her, because she'll see your opinion as the opinion of most people, and that to be the norm.
I hate it when people say they don't tell people how to live their lives and are extremely hypocritcal themselves.
Decisions as serious as having a baby should be up to the parent to make, instead of giving advice, just try to support them in any decision they make. Life is precious, the decisions of the parent should be theirs and theirs alone to make. If they're not ready for a baby, so be it, have an abortion. If they think they have enough stability in their life for it, have the baby! I said life is precious because most people that talk about how terrible abortions are give almost NO thought to the mother or father at all! Whatsoever! And if they do it's about how they are terrible sinners for having sex before they were ready. So what? It's life! Shit happens! Make your decision, build a bridge, and get over it.
I think if you are responsible enough to have sex you are responsible enough to handle those risks and everything that comes with that.. i.e. babies. I dont think abortion is right unless under extreme medical complications or rape cases.

Really? You think that to be able to physically have sex means that you're mentally prepared to have a baby? Lol. What kind of reasoning is that? The thing is when people are maturing there are hormones in them, and a certain curiosity of the unknown. For those people that learn they have made a mistake too late, are you suggesting they throw away their lives for that? Who are you to tell these people they can't do anything about the situation they're in and that it is hopeless for them? I've know how it feels to be told there is no hope. I can't believe you would take away that hope of a normal life for those people.
