Is Pres. George W. Bush an effective leader and why?

I formerly believed that he was an effective leaded because he was very strong in leading America into what he saw fit for the time. However now he is not, due to his lack of regard for what the rest of America has to say and his blatent direguard for the common citizen.

Personally, I don't think that our president can lead much of anything, or ever could. I do, however, think that there are people near him who can rally the country toward one goal.

it really depends on the presidents personality. Theodore Roosevelt was an effective president with his outspoken voice. In contrast to him there are some presidents like coolidge and hoover that were the complete opposite of him.

Well, any president's second term is always less successful than his/her first. In the first term congress and the executive brance must stay on good terms with each other in order for bills to pass. President Bush's first term was very sucessful. He got many of the reforms and changes that he wanted done and he completed many of his goals. As expected however his second terms is less effective.

Care to prove that with some facts? I'm just curious as to why you feel that way.

Random Fact (I'm just full of them!): This has mainly been the case after Congress passed the term limit for presidents after FDR.

I think he did a much better job during his first term, but it's pretty much irrelevant. Despite the dozens of polls that are thrown on the news each week, it would appear the majority of the country thinks Bush is doing a better job than anyone else could, considering the fact that the majority of them VOTED for him AGAIN. Sorry, that was kind of off topic, lol. :D

bush is not a leader. why? because look, we were a loved nation. now, during the second term of bush, it seems like we raked in a lot of flak. some leader. lead your nation's problem first, before you start leading them to years of war.

As my history teacher loves to say, it all depends on your definition of effective.
