I'm not saying the Bible is true or false. I'm just saying it isn't neccessarily true. It could be, but it all comes down to what you want to believe, therefore people shouldn't be telling other people that it is or isn't true.

Tucker wrote:ok first off most of the bible is off because of the constant translations. A prime example resides in the story of Moses in the Old Testament(all this comes from a world history college professor with a master's in theology) The Old Testament states that Moses split the waters of the Red Sea and led the Jews across. Now take into account the width of the Red Sea. There still exists today a lesser known sea close to the Red Sea bordering Egypt known as the Reed Sea. The tidal patterns of this sea are so extreme that even today it is possible to walk across the bottom at certain places during low tide. Coincidence?

My own believes fairly difficult to explain. It is known by scientists that we use only ten percent of our brain. There have also been recorded instances of telepathy, telekinesis, pyrokinesis, and other brain influenced events. I think that through belief we can harness some of the energy our brain stores and transmit it to others. In the words of the Buddha, "With our thoughts we make the world." I believe that when we believe in a supreme deity or messiah we give them power and make them that supreme deity. I believe that because people believed Jesus could do miracles, he was actually able to do them, I believe that because people believed Muhammad was the prophet, he was one, I believe that because people thought Achilles was invincible in battle, he was for a time, etc. Every major religious leader has had a large number of worshippers beside him. However, I also believe that not believing is a belief, and you are using your energy to cancel out that of another persons. The reason the world is losing God is because they constantly disagree and believe that the other religion's God is fake, cancelling out each other's beliefs. A good example is the African witch doctors. While a person is using all their energy in believing that the larger religions are false, they show no particular affinity toward these groups. Because they have no negative energy to destroy their belief, these people can perform miracles. So, in a way, I think the only way to make God real is to make the world stop arguing.
what can not say anything but you are so into science that you never stoped to think ???????

I am not here to judge, but i am here to say something and leave you guys, and i am ready to listen...
God does exist, we did not come out of no where, do not go so much deep into science. God did create us to have a limited ability of understanding. for example Eve and Adam did not know they were naked until Satan trucked Eve to eat from the forbidden apples...
I just know that God for me is a great comfort, and the bible too, God never ignored me. I do really believe the bible is true, and it truely from God.
True the bible is not easy to interpet, but again if you really spend time to read the passages two or three times and spend time to think about it instead of wasting time on the coach "suggestion" try it...
If you did not understand ask me i will help u...
Do not just shout it is biased fake and I do not know sources please??????????? if you are saying so
About science, it changes through the years i will not be surprised if a scientists come out tommorow on Tv to tell us they found a cure or a vaccine for certain disease or they found DNA is not the genetic carrying information.
Finally, i end it God did not change throgh the Centuries. if you are arguing about the last sentence i am ready
Love you and remeber the Son of God Love you too........
God Bless you

I don't think any of us are saying that the Bible is bad historyprincess (well, not many at any rate). We are simply pointing out that it was written by man, that it has been translated many times and that may have changed it, that it can be interpreted many ways, and that some of the stories do not seem to fit in logically with what we know today.

Personally, I think that the Bible is not the ultimate truth, that it was indeed a creation of man. However, I do know that some people believe it to hold the absolute truth and I do not wish to change their mind if they are unwilling to let it be changed. Faith is a powerful thing. It can save lives and bring power to us. While I do not think that the Bible is necessarily good in all aspects, I do realize that it teaches good values. If it has helped you and continues to help you, then I am happy, for everyone needs something to believe in and someone or something to help in times of need.

Reality lies in the eye of the beholder. If you believe something hard enough, then ultimately it will become a truth in yours and possibly others reality, but there are many people, each with their own view of this world.

"I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."
"But," say Man, "the Babel fish is a dead giveaway, isn't it? It could not have evolved by chance. It

And I would say don't trust so heavily on the Bible.

Bonus question: If we didn't come from "no where", where did God come from?

Science "changes" because it stays relevant to the best factual evidence we have at the time.

Arguement doesn't change anything, and do not compare God with man. God is God. You are left to believe what u want to believe. The Bible isn't what I trust heavily on, I trust heavily on God. Not everything needs to be proven for it to be true.

Things that are unproven are not proven true..

It's possible that unproven things may be true, that also means the opposite, that they may not be true. So you can believe its true all you want, but you can just as easily not believe. So the whole idea of conversion is flawed, because you're trying to make somebody wholly accept something that is only a possibility.

Exactly. So people shouldn't try to convince people one way or the other, that would be assuming that the person is correct, which isn't neccessarily true. It's all up to personal opinion.
