Need Notes?
While we strive to provide the most comprehensive notes for as many high school textbooks as possible, there are certainly going to be some that we miss. Drop us a note and let us know which textbooks you need. Be sure to include which edition of the textbook you are using! If we see enough demand, we'll do whatever we can to get those notes up on the site for you!
Skits?! Whoa! My teacher just gives powerpoint slides and provides us with lots of outside informaton. Oh yeah. He ordered us not to study during Thanksgiving break and he meant it. I thought it was a joke and all but he's serious about that,,,
I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception.

How does my teacher teach?
Well that's easy...he doesn't. :p
He basically just talks every day, sometimes about the material, but then strays off on to other subjects. We are supposed to read and do our own notes and he checks our notes the day of the test. We don't get any worksheets or anything else to help us, which really sucks. I think my teacher really knows about U.S. History but can't teach to save his life.
to Urban2thepoptart its dissapointing that you have a terrible tacher because i enjoy my ap american history teacher very much so BUT this is considered a college class and in those kinds of classes a persons grade can be determined on 2 or even a single test (e.i. the national exam) so in honesty, you WILL need to teach yourself everything out of the book and anything that goes along with the lectures in class. use collegeboard.com and go to something like teacher resources and they give unit outlines which can be very helpful. dont just rely on the student help sections. ALSO study groups are SUPER helpful no matter how stupid they sound
My teacher's OK. He gives us a few lectures here and there, but for the most part, we're on our own. We go through a chapter a week, and for each one, we have either: A) Packet B) Outline (sucks!) C) CEQ (cause, effect, quote) D) DBQ. Funness. You should talk to the administrators, but more importantly, talk to your parents about either homeschool in that subject, or go to a college for anytime school. Pass that class no matter how horrible that teacher is.

Why Me?
Pfsh...The teacher I have now is ok. The class seems a lot harder for not having hardly any work...He gives lectures...But doesn't really TEACH...It's more like "go home and read chapter so and so..."
I miss my freshman year history teacher at Central Valley. He was awesome!! The block schedule was so much better and allowed for some very interesting and open discussion...a very intelligent man that has a lot to say...love what he does...but listens as well...
I remember virtually EVERYTHING from that class.....
If US history were taught by my teacher the way my old teacher did...I'd certainly be more inclined to get involved. You have to make the subject interesting.
"Interesting" and "School" in the same sentence. Quite ironic.

LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF DOCUMENTS!!!! It helps a lot though. Our teacher gives powerpoint lessons everday with some little movie clips once in a while. Weekly outlines, questions, review sessions everyweek, website and e-mail for 24 hour help, and currently learning from the American Pagean 12th Edition and two document books that we have been assigned. Its a pretty hard class I would say.

Lol, and bit of an oxymoron too.
