1. China is a large region marked by significant ecological, topographical, biological, and climatic diversity.
2. The two most important resources that supported the imperial Chinese state were agricultural production and labor. Agricultural production in China was intensive and was taxed by the government. The most productive agricultural region was the Yangzi Valley, which began to be linked to the centers of political power (Chang’an and Luoyang) by canals.

The Truth is a Lie

Many are taught that no matter what the scenario, it is always best to tell the truth. However, there are many times when telling the truth is wrong. In R.K. Narayan?s short story, ?Like the Sun?, the main character Sekhar makes a vow to only tell the truth, but ends up regretting that decision. Through Sekhar?s truthful encounters with his wife, his coworker, and his boss, Narayan shows that telling the truth is not always the right thing to do.
