The puritans of the New England colonies came over from Britain in 1629 to escape from the Anglican Church and other political and religious persecutions in England. In making this colony, they were to be “a city upon a hill”, according to John Winthrop. This meant that they were to be set up on the principles of the Bible and to be an example to the rest of the world through their actions and good deeds.

The Han empire began in 206 B.C. when Liu Bang, prince of Han, defeated the Qin army in the valley of Wei. The defeat was part of a larger rebellion that began after the First Emporer's death. The people were dissatisfied with the tyranny of the Qin leaders and their Legalist form of government. However, while traditional Chinese history portrays the Han as implementing immediate changes in government, evidence shows the Han continued to rule in the tradition of the Qin, and only gradually incorporated Confucian ideals into their Legalist form of government.

Factoring Polynomials of Degree 3
Factoring a 3 - b 3
An expression of the form a 3 - b 3 is called a difference of cubes. The factored form of a 3 - b 3 is (a - b)(a 2 + ab + b 2) :
(a - b)(a 2 + ab + b 2) = a 3 - a 2 b + a 2 b - ab 2 + ab 2 - b 3 = a 3 - b 3
For example, the factored form of 27x 3 - 8 ( a = 3x, b = 2 ) is (3x - 2)(9x 2 + 6x + 4) .

Similarly, the factored form of 125x 3 -27y 3 ( a = 5x, b = 3y ) is (5x - 3y)(25x 2 +15xy + 9y 2) .
