1. Only sixteen countries in the world have a directly elected president, out of the 60 or so countries that have democratic characteristics; the alternative to a president is a prime minister.
i. In a parliamentary system, like in Europe, the legislature, not the people, chooses the leader (the prime minister), who in turn chooses the other ministers from parliament members.

Activity Series of Metal

Purpose: In this laboratory you will be testing the relative reactivity of metals and rank the elements in order of decreasing reactivity.
Procedure:
Each station will have all the solutions necessary
Place a small sample of the metal in one spot of the well plate
Add 5-10 drops of the solution. Observe if there is a reaction and label the result on the table
