Find x. 4x+6x+20=20x Step 1 Combine like terms; 4x+6x=10x Then you end up with; 10x+20=20x Step 2 Get all your X's on one side of the equal sign; 10x+20=20x -10x+20=20x-10x so that you end up with; 20=10x *be sure to subtract equally on both sides.* Step 3 Divide each side by the number in front of x; 20=10x 20/10=10x/10 2=x; x=2 (always keep in mind to use P.E.M.D.A.S in order when trying to solve a algabraeic equation; Parenthisis, Exponents, Multiplication/Division and Addition/Subtraction)
