are we material or spiritual

A human person is not a robot it is an individual with thoughts, feelings, and ideas. Thoughts, feelings, and ideas that have changed and been molded over time by past experiences and maybe even traumatic events. With that being said I believe we are a bit of both material and partly spiritual. For example, humans were put on this earth with a body and a soul. So, perhaps there are levels of the soul that are reached through experience. Like a baby. A newborn is unaware at first, kind of like a clean slate. As it gets older, it becomes more aware because of experience. If our souls are like newborns compared to the spirit of god, then, perhaps, the spectrum is pure body on one end, pure soul or god on the other, and humans in the middle.

The literal meaning for Decalogue is ?ten words?. This commonly refers to the Ten Commandments. Before the Decalogue was given, the Israelites had no law to help them in their covenant relationship with God. Without the law, they were in danger of violating the covenant. The Israelites were tired of wandering the desert for such a long time that they began to question God and grew impatient. After Moses received the Decalogue, he presented them to the Israelites. The tablets were regarded with great reverence by the Israelites who realized that the commandments spelled out their way to freedom and faith in God.

Motivation and Emotion Motivation is the driving force behind behaviour that leads us to pursue some things and avoid others. Perspectives on Motivation The psychodynamic perspective distinguishes between conscious and unconscious motives. The behavioural perspective asserts that humans are motivated to repeat behaviours that led to reinforcement and to avoid behaviours associated with punishments. The cognitive perspective asserts that people are motivated to perform behaviours that they value and they believe they can attain. The humanistic perspective asserts a theory of self actualization; Maslow?s hierarchy of needs rangers from needs that are basic to survival to needs that guide behaviour only once the person has fulfilled needs lower down on the hierarchy.

Li Molingou Morality Mr. Olisky Questionnaire Essay I believe that kids today lack a sense of community. This is not to say that today?s adolescents have become less social. In fact, in many ways, kids have become more social. With all the new technology people can remain in contact with one another constantly. Even in these online worlds, kids aren?t showing a real sense of community. They have their group of friends that they hang out with and this translates over to the parallel universe of social media.

Gorizia is the main city where the story takes place. During world war one gorizia turned from a beautiful peaceful place into a town of mayhem and death because of the war between Italians and the Austrian-Hungarians. Farewell to arms takes place in this city for the most part. This is where Henry meets Catherine and where there ?love? starts. Gorizia was ruined during WW1 because of the damage done by the Austrians and the terrible condition Italy in general was left in after war.
