Separation of Mixtures Lab Binit Patel August 23rd, 2011 Period 2, Chemistry Honors Purpose/Hypothesis: The purpose of this lab is to demonstrate how to separate a collection of different mixtures. These materials in the mixture were, lentils, iron fillings, sand, and salt. The objective was to separate each material into a tray divided into 4 sections for each substance.
