The Hypersexualization of Women in Videogames Topic Discuss the general issues with the misrepresentation and over hypersexualization of women in videogames. Women are severally misrepresented in videogames Female characters are poorly represented in numbers alone as the ratio of male to female characters is 8:1. As well as being poorly represented in numbers women are also being hypersexualized when they are actually represented in games. As studies show a connection to violent videogames causing violent behaviors to children these hypersexualized games are dehumanizing children?s view of women.
