The students, who were rioting because of the cramped conditions of their universities and outdated means of teaching used by the professors, and the workers, who were all on strike because of poor wages despite the growing economy, of France rallied together on the streets of France, demanding for Charles de Gaulle?s resignation and better conditions. These two groups including the government and revolutionary parties, were all at blame for the causes of the 1968 crisis, which led to responses from many other groups.
