Kurudimov ? PAGE ?5? Karina Kurudimov Mr. Simmons H English 9 13 May 2011 The Diversity of Love Romeo and Juliet is tragedy by William Shakespeare that is about a pair of lovers whose parents were enemies. By the end of the play Romeo and Juliet ended up taking their own lives just to be with each other. After the couple killed themselves their families finally ended their feud and agreed to live in peace since their hate for each other cost them the lives of their only children. This play teaches the valuable lesson that young and impetuous love can lead to disaster. Throughout the play there is three main different types of love portrayed: the cynical love of Mercutio and the Nurse, the unrequited love between Romeo and Rosaline, and the true love between Romeo and Juliet.

Two old gentlemen meet in the rain one night at Covent Garden. Professor Higgins is a scientist of phonetics, and Colonel Pickering is a linguist of Indian dialects. The first bets the other that he can, with his knowledge of phonetics, convince high London society that, in a matter of months, he will be able to transform the cockney speaking Covent Garden flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, into a woman as poised and well-spoken as a duchess. The next morning, the girl appears at his laboratory on Wimpole Street to ask for speech lessons, offering to pay a shilling, so that she may speak properly enough to work in a flower shop. Higgins makes merciless fun of her, but is seduced by the idea of working his magic on her.

Mugging There was something different about that moonlit summer night in the McDonald?s parking lot. Everything was eerily silent. An unseasonably cool breeze blew past me and my friend Greg as we stood waiting for our friend Lance to get off work and join us for a night of hanging out. A dark figure started slowly walking toward us across the lot. As I saw the man move closer, a chill ran down my spine; I had no idea who he was or what his intentions were. Soon he was facing us, and after extinguishing his cigarette and running his hands through his wiry gray hair, he asked us for money. Greg and I lied and told him we had nothing. Nervously, I turned to face the restaurant?s door, waiting for Lance to appear.

Eminent Domain

Eminent Domain Much like the story of the three little pigs, home ownership does not always have a pleasant end. Abuses of eminent domain have enable profiteers to seize property from unwilling sellers. While it is important to keep in mind the needs of a community, to seize property for private economical development should not be justified by eminent domain. Neither the United States? constitution nor public opinion has displayed support for such reason.
