Chapter 10 Outline The Early Tang Empire; 618-755 The Tang had hierarchy from the turkic elites and lived by the Confucianism ways, they were also taken down by the Arab. Buddhism was used, like many Asian dynasties. They had protective spirits for the Princes competeing. Connections grew with Central Asian/Indian people. ltural influences and religious identities stayed strong. The Tang had good water/transportaion, which somewhat led to building a huge canal. Government disliked Monasteries because they were loss of Chinese culture. Military depended on greatly due to expansion, the rebels got wiped out and the north moved to the south.
