?Ships at a distance have every man?s wish on board. For some they come in with the tide. For others they sail forever on the horizon, never out of sight, never landing.? Many times in a book a character can be related to many forms of other things like nature. You never really realize it until you are done with the book and are talking about it in class. In particular the Hurricane happening throughout chapter 18 can be related to Janie along with the Horizon mentioned many times throughout the book.

IB History The Weimar Republic?-By 1918, Germany was in shambles because the armies were in retreat, the navy was in mutiny and the population was rioting because they were being starved by the British blockade. ? -On November 9th, the Kaiser Wilhelm II abdicated, and a civilian government took over from him on the advice of General Hindenburg and Ludendorff. ? -In January of 1919, the people elected an Assembly who made a constitution for the new republic. The Parliament was called the Reichstag, and was run by proportional representation. There would be an elected President as well, who could dismiss the Chancellor or the Prime Minister, and govern by decree (don't need Parliament's approval to pass laws) during an emergency. ?

To develop and make bill that can be presented on the House floor. Many of these bills never make it out of these committees. This is because that bills that go into the committees are not the same when they come out. In Congressional committees there are a majority leaders and minority leaders.
