To begin with, English colonists had myriads of reasons for settling the newly discovered land, North America, however there are also several reasons that block some English people from officially living in the colonies as well. Pull factors such as religious persecution, a fresh new chance for a new beginning, and curiosity for exploration are what convinced the Englishmen to travel West. Push factors being that the New World was too new, caused the colonists to die from the unfamiliar climate, and the fact that some English people didn?t want to leave England due to the fact that England is their home country.
