W.B. Ray High School Advanced Placement Psychology Mr. Roberts-Room 172 [email protected] Course Syllabus Advanced Placement Psychology is taught in a one semester course. It is designed to introduce students to the systematic and scientific study of the behavioral and mental processes of human beings. Key concepts of the major schools of psychology and important theorists with their contributions to psychology are taught. Vocabulary is an essential part of psychology; therefore, vocabulary is emphasized. The culmination of the course is for students to take the Advanced Placement exam in May. (Please be aware that there is a fee to the exam of $86, certain circumstances allow for a reduced price of $8 for that fee.) Prerequisites

AP EURO ROAD TO THE DEATH OF THE EMPEROR All readings should be done by the date the outlines are due. We skip Ch. 18 until after winter break. All outlines are GROUP outlines. I only collect ONE copy, but you ?cc? me on the email of the final copy to all members of your ?country.? ?Note cards? are OPTIONAL after the close of the first term. They become ?extra credit? for terms 2-4. Take Home Essays are in BOLD. In-class essays are underlined. All Exams are shaded. ALL Quizzes and Tests are TIMED. Quizzes: 7 minutes Tests: 45 minutes (27 for MC) MOST Reading Quizzes (RQ) are 10 questions, but NEVER more than 20. ALWAYS bring a Number 2 pencil. ALL exams are 40 M.C. and 1 FRQ (100 points). ALWAYS bring a Number 2 pencil and BLUE OR BLACK INK pen ASSIGNMENTS
