Noah Spiner 8/25/10 AP HUG p.6 Notes 8/25/10 Human Geography ? studies the spatial aspects of human existence and how people and their activities are distributed across Earth. 5 themes of geography location ? absolute location (latitude and longitude), relative location (in relation to another place) place ? human and physical features region ? region united by similar physical conditions united by common cultural traits movement ? travel from place to place, exchange of goods and places interaction ? people adapt to the environment, people change the environment. Geographic inquiry ? the why of where? Globalization ? the increasing interconnectedness of different parts of the world economically, politically, and culturally.
