Machiavelli ?The Prince? Niccolo Machiavelli, a renaissance political philosopher from Italy,is known today as one of the most influential man in finding modern politics. He writes to politicians through his guide,"The Prince",which is made up of a series of advises on how to get and maintain rule and power. His book was followed by many leaders, but some of his suggestions were already followed previous to "The Prince". Two of these people were King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain. This couple ruled Argon and Castile and Leon from 1469 to 1516. Their way of conquering and practicing power coincidentally matched up with the teachings of Machiavelli. The methods they have used and what they have achieve during their reign would leave a mark in history.

6 Introduction to the Class Monday, January 31, 2011 11:16 AM Vietnam is the longest war that the US got involved in. We have gotten US supplies in Vietnam since 1955. The reason why 1955 is so important is because l-955 is the year when the US decides to take over what the French were unable to do. O n a dark winter night, a ghost walks the ramparts of Elsinore Castle in Denmark. Discovered first by a pair of watchmen, then by the scholar Horatio, the ghost resembles the recently deceased King Hamlet, whose brother Claudius has inherited the throne and married the king’s widow, Queen Gertrude. When Horatio and the watchmen bring Prince Hamlet, the son of Gertrude and the dead king, to see the ghost, it speaks to him, declaring ominously that it is indeed his father’s spirit, and that he was murdered by none other than Claudius. Ordering Hamlet to seek revenge on the man who usurped his throne and married his wife, the ghost disappears with the dawn.

Reflection Chart Trait Examples from my farewell Diction:?What key words or phrases did I use purposefully? Are the words positive, negative, or neutral? I used word such as tender and loving purposely in my work to create a positive/neutral farewell. The use in the context imply that it is a positive farewell as I am going off to school and then to college in the end, but also neutral because it isn?t like that I am extremely glad to be separated from my mom but it is a good farewell. Imagery:?What types of imagery did I use? Did I appeal to more than one sense? What figurative language did I use (similes, metaphors, personification, etc.)? Are these images positive, negative, or neutral?
