It changed society by altering social expectations, popularized radical ideas, and introduced republican principles. China Versus Rome Essay Han China and Imperial Rome are two different cultures with political similarities. Even though China and Rome were apart geographically, both empires shared political role but each one was also unique in a way. To start, similar levels of the family were present in the empires. In both cultures the family consisted of the living generations and was lead by an all-powerful patriarch. The family was very strong and members of the family were bound by loyalty to their family. Both families taught obedience, respect for superiors, piety, and a strong sense of duty and honor. In conclusion, the Han and Rome empires both shared the levels of the family and the idea of the family.
