Mendelian Genetics Two Hypotheses of Heredity Blending Hypothesis ? genetic material from both parents ?mixes? like red and blue make green. Particulate Hypothesis ? parents pass on distinct units (genes) that retain their separate identity in an undiluted form This is the hypothesis that is accepted today Gregor Mendel developed his theory in the mid 1800?s before chromosomes had been viewed under the microscope He was a Monk who studied math and crossing pea plants to study inheritance Terms for Studying Genetics Character ? a heritable feature that varies among individuals, such as flower color. US gov and poltics is it right to builr a mosque near Ground Zero
Is it appropriate to build a mosque near the World Trade Center Site? This debate has grown to an international topic. Some people say the Muslim center will help the economy. Some say it will show America?s tolerance for religious freedom. On the other hand some argue the building of a mosque near Ground Zero is disrespectful and inflicts stress on the families of the victims of 9/11. I believe the United States should allow the mosque to be built. The reason is our soldiers fight wars in Iraq and Afghanistan everyday to protect Muslims from tyranny, so why cannot Muslims be protected at the place they call home? 67% of Americans believe that the Muslims have the right to do so but another 71% feels it is wrong to do so.
