Animal Farm
There a lot of symbolism in Animal Farm, the Seven Commandments, the Farm and the Manor house, but the windmill?s symbolic meaning changes during the course of the novel and means different things to different characters. In the begging of the novel, the windmill was to be used for the production of electricity, instead it ends up being used for economic production. As the windmill was being built, the pigs exploit Boxer and the other common animals by manipulating them and making them undertake backbreaking labour to build the windmill without benefit, and it was also a medium of the pigs? power. For the humans, the windmill was a dangerous symbol of the growing power of the farm.
