It is acceptable to call Leonardo da Vinci a Renaissance man because of everything he mastered and accomplished. He was well-known as a painter, sculptor, engineer, astronomer, anatomist, biologist, geologist, physicist, architect, and humanist. All of his work seemed to make an everlasting impression on this time period. Da Vinci was also said to be the model humanist because of his experimentation in art balancing the conflicting experiences of the whole culture.

Ever since the purchase of the YPF petroleum corporation by Madrid based Repsol in 1999, the relation between Repsol and the Argentine government, who previously owned YPF, became strained. Even as the world energy markets boomed, YPF could not keep up with global competition since Repsol focused on investment in its other subsidiaries.
