Juraidini 1 Justin Juraidini Farmer AP European History January 30, 2013 ?Luther? Reaction Paper The movie "Luther" is based on Martin Luther's life and the impact he had on the Catholic Church. Throughout the movie Martin Luther takes it upon himself to find truth pertaining to salvation and preaches his ideas and thoughts to the people of Wittenberg. Martin Luther disagreed with aspects of Roman Catholic religious practices, especially the sale of indulgences, religious corruption, and the emphasis on salvation through good works. He took action by posting and distributing his 95 theses and left a lasting legacy by sparking a religious movement, creating a new sect of faith, and later motivating reform to the Roman Catholic Church.

1. Discuss the relationship between Russia and Qing China, and how they in turn related to the rest of the world. In the 1640s, Russian farmers began to move into the valley of the Amur River east of Mongolia to grow grain. They also built forts in this area to maintain their access to Siberian furs, timber and metals. The Qing Chinese were worried about Russian alliances with other frontier peoples and they were also rivals with them for the northern Asia Pacific coasts. In 1689, the Russians and the Qing signed the Treaty of Nerchinsk which fixed the boarder along the Amur River and regulated trade. The treaty recognized Russia as a an important and powerful neighbor.

Rosenweig/ Diamond lab report Problem: Does the environment of an organism affect its problem solving skills/brain activity? Hypothesis: enriched environments will yield better problem solving skill, whereas impoverished environments will yield inferior ones. Procedure: A sample group of rats will be randomly assigned to either a cage similar to that of a pet, in which toys games and ladders will be placed, or similar to that of a lab setting, a plain cage. The rats will then be subjected to a series of problem solving tests and the two groups will be compared. In addition their brain activity will be monitored.
