Separation of Mixtures Lab Binit Patel August 23rd, 2011 Period 2, Chemistry Honors Purpose/Hypothesis: The purpose of this lab is to demonstrate how to separate a collection of different mixtures. These materials in the mixture were, lentils, iron fillings, sand, and salt. The objective was to separate each material into a tray divided into 4 sections for each substance.

Social anxiety disorder?(SAD,?SAnD) (DSM-IV?300.23) is an?anxiety disorder?characterized by intense fear in social situations[1]?causing considerable distress and impaired ability to function in at least some parts of daily life. It is a rather extreme form of?social phobia?(SP), although the latter is sometimes treated synonymously.[1]?The diagnosis of social anxiety disorder can be of a?specific?disorder?(when only some particular situations are feared) or ageneralized?disorder. Generalized social anxiety disorder typically involves a persistent, intense,?chronic?fear of being judged by others and of beingembarrassed?or?humiliated?by one's own actions. These fears can be triggered by perceived or actual scrutiny from others.

Summary 1. Two major factors affect the number of species in a community: the latitude in terrestrial communities and pollution in aquatic systems. 2. Species play different roles in a community. Native species sustain the ecosystem in which they are a part. Some nonnative species will crowd out native species. Indicator species alert us to harmful changes in the community. Keystone species play ecological roles in the specific community: they may assist in pollination help regulate populations. Foundation species affect the community’s habitat to benefit other species. 3. Species interact with each other in these different ways: interspecific competition, predation, parasitism, mutualism, and commensalism.
