Page 1 11/10/2010 Tinker Case Review The Tinker Standard is a regulation that gives students the right to freely express themselves without teacher interference. The students are given this right on the condition that it does not involve violation of the social conduct. This standard was first set when a group of students wore black armbands to school in protest of the Vietnam conflict.

1) There is no Declaration of Rights, and the laws of the general government being paramount to the laws and constitution of the several States, the Declarations of Rights in the separate States are no security. Nor are the people secured even in the enjoyment of the benefit of the common law. 2) In the House of Representatives there is not the substance but the shadow only of representation; which can never produce proper information in the legislature, or inspire confidence in the people; the laws will therefore be generally made by men little concerned in, and unacquainted with their effects and consequences.

Jordan McGowan AP World History Self Essay 9/1/10 ?Your mom and I aren?t together anymore.? These were the words that my dad told me as I got home from school one late fall day. I wouldn?t know the full meaning of these words for another 8 or so months, but this way the first day that had every changed my life so much. I wouldn?t have that feeling until 6 years later when I heard the news that I was going to have a brother, or until a year after that when I fully learned about responsibility. I don?t have many events that split up my life, but I feel that these are the most significant three. Nothing in my life would change my attitude about life any more than these three things.
