Here are some test taking tips that may be helpful.

1. Know the format of the test ahead of time. For example, is it going to be multiple choice, free response, essay?
2. Ask your teacher if there is a penalty for guessing on multiple choice tests. If there is not, make sure you answer every question.
3. Always make sure you get enough rest the day before the test. Showing up to your test tired will make it hard for you to concentrate and do well on your test.
4. Study, study, study. The only way to do well on tests is to study.

Then, by the end of summer you will be close to done if not completely finished.

Unfortunately, 11th grade is not the time to become complacent; it actually is a very critical year in terms of the college admissions process. Oh the woes of being a high school student. There are fewer things pettier and more devastating to a teenager than getting dumped by their best friend. Whether you two just “drifted apart” or you flat out got the shaft, getting dumped is rough. For those of you who have been ditched and now feel as though the world is becoming one big, dark place where things go to die: fear not, melodramatic teens! This is not the end of the world, in fact far from it. The best way to think of this is not as a time of suffering from social leprosy, but as a character building time in your life.
