As the new school year steadily approaches and back-to-school shopping begins, I would like to take some time to help out the fashion-challenged who are returning to school. The fact is, different events and times of the year lend themselves to different outfits, so to sort all that out and keep you savvy, I've created this guide.

Many, many freshmen are nervous as they are getting ready to try out for the high school or senior high school basketball teams. They know that they have to practice hard during the summer, but a lot of them don’t know where to start. If you are one of these people, DON’T PANIC! I have experienced the same thing my freshmen year, but found out the whole “tryout” thing is not as stressful as you might think.

Here are a few beginning tips:
• Never give up practicing, no matter how tough it might be.
• Go to a nearby gym at least 3 times a week to practice.

That will be me in 7 years. Maybe. Gah.
So recently I landed a shadowing job in Mexico, since my parents have friends who are doctors there. For those of you interested in medicine, or any job for that matter, shadowing is a great way to find out if that's really what you want to do. You get to follow them around for a day, or sometimes several, and see what a typical day is for them.

Regardless of what students think – money does make the world go round. If any high school student does not have the simplest notion of where money comes from then “we have a problem, Houston.” Money, in many cases, wages and salaries allow us to turn our vocational time into recreational time. We work to make money to spend on the day-to-day items we deem important to us. An iPod Touch, the latest Black Eyed peas CD, movie tickets, and gaming software – you get it. However, spending money all the time makes us all “negative” savers.

In August, thankfully, I’m starting college. What my role/label will be there, I don’t know, but I definitely know who I was in high school. All of my friends would agree that I was the type A overachiever. Chances are that you, visiting this site, have a bit of overachiever in you, somewhere. This, though, is more for the Type A people of high school.

Computer Science – Java Lesson 2

Welcome to lesson 2 of my Java series. Now that you’ve installed Java successfully, we can start learning the basics of Java.
First, we should start a new project. Open NetBeans and create a new project, specifically a Java Application with a name of MyFirstProject. Once open, go ahead and just delete everything in the editor (the right window). Now type this into the article and click the Build button, followed by the Run button. I’ll explain it afterwards.
public class MyFirstProject
{
public static void main(String[] args)

Computer Science – Java Lesson 1

I’ve been a little short on ideas for these blogs lately, so I thought I’d start a series on programming in Java. It’s a subject that doesn’t have a presence and I think it would be helpful and fun for those who want to learn about programming. So, without further adieu, let’s begin.

Stress, Stress, Stress! we've all head that word used a lot through out our school year. We've also heard that most teenagers and adults go through it. They learn how to deal with it. But How? How does a teen deal with stress?

Obviously, there are many ways that one could try to deal with stress. But the first step that is most important (especially to me) in relieving stress is figuring out what is stressing you out. Is it a homework assignment, test, or a big project coming up soon? Ot maybe it's not a school thing, but a family, friend or personal problem.

There are so many choices when it comes to choosing where you will spend the next several years of your life, the task can seem daunting. The last three semesters of your high school life will be consumed with the details of when, where, what, how, who all related to colleges. Take a deep breathe. Remember, this decision needs to be practical but also the best decision for you. When researching colleges and trying to narrow your choices down, there are a few things you should be thinking about.
