If I remember correctly, after 2 weeks a lawyer can legally represent a "child", that 2 weeks is when its still in the womb btw.

Don't quote me on that though.

Life begins at conception. This is a fact that remains true no matter how many terms and words you can throw at it. At conception the first human cell is created and the human's traits and gender are decided. This fact is widely accepted among the religious and scientific community. Another important thing to remember is that it was accepted by two of the doctors who led the fight to legalize abortion. I have a copy of some of their medical journals and letters and they had written that they have no doubt the life begins at conception and that a fetus is life, but they wanted to legalize abortion anyway. They had said that the next step in legalizing abortion was to degrade the public view of life, to constantly bombard them with pro abortion sentiment and to feed them the idea that an unborn child was not alive. Personally, when I read the journals for the first time, I became sick.

As previously stated, adoption is an easy solution to this dillema. In fact there aren't enough children to adopt in the country so I see no reason why people would head to the abortion clinic before heading to the adoption center.

Personally, I view abortion as murder in all but a few extreme cases. Ex: pregnancy as result of rape, medical emergency, etc. Otherwise, it's just morally repulsive to me.

(don't read this next part if you're weak of stomach....it's not anything bad, but it's sick)

Not comparing us to China or anything, but look at their abortion policy. If there is an unauthorized pregnancy, and it comes to term, they inject the baby with formaldehyde(sp?) when it crowns.

heh, you could say the egg is "living" it depends on your definition of "life" i guess. In any case, I'm just wondering, so far how many of those who have been posting are male?

That is 150% wrong. The sex of the zygote is NOT decided at conception. The morula stage does not have a sex, the sex does not present itself until much later in the development stage. We aren't cold-blooded animals...

That's horrible..... Did the journals say why they wanted to legalize it so badly? I just don't understand how anyone could consider it a living human being and fight so hard for the right to kill it.

Like some of the people here, I agree abortion is murder. Doesn't life come from that egg and only through that egg? If a mom kills her baby, she goes to jail. If she gets an abortion, then she doesn't. What's up with that?

I never forget a face, but in your case I'll be glad to make an exception.

hahahaha woah, new kid in the mix....jk. anyways, um...okay, so basically making the decision not to have a child is tantamount to murder? uh huh. because, the "zygote" is actually living. In any case the point is that what would happen to those women who have had their choice to have a abortion taken away? Either they go to mexico or some other unsafe area to get soem sketchy and unsafe abortion which will kill them. And what if it's a mistake, let's say you get drunk and you have intercourse? would you have to live with that mistake for the rest of your life? How would you bring a child up at 16 if you're not ready for it? And for the families who want to adopt what happened to those foster care children?
Just more to fuel the debate i guess.
