Gay Marriage?

Well, I personally believe that gay marriage is wrong, and that God says homosexuality is wrong. Is it wrong to base my beleifs of things on what is politically correct? Do I have to analyze everyhing because it might not be what the world thinks? What I am wondering is why I shoul have to be caled ignorant becase I am basing my theory of gay marriage on my religion. I just want to clarify- I have nothing against gay people, just the sin they commit. I don;t discriminate against them, but I certainly won't fight to make it easier for people to commit what I believe is a sin. Tell me, is there anyone who agrees with me? I'd like to know.

what sin do they committ?

a research was done in switzerland that gay men do not have receivers to pick up pheromones from a woman's presence. i am hoping that everyone by now knows what pheromones are. it's the "scent" that attracts human beings towards each other. I have a lot of friends that are born homosexuals. oen tells me that they knew it from third grade, others tell me that they just weren't attracted to girls and for soem guys. However, i do have a friend that started going for girls this year. she obviously chose to act homosexual because she has dated many men before and she has said she's fallen in love and done the intercourse things. but is this a sin? why can't a human love another human?

i just asked my friend who is a christian, i asked him what he thinks about gay marriages. he said i was gay for saying that it shoudl be allowed and that i shouldnt' be thinking it cuz im christian. that's real christian like of him to do.

olivia1: I do not know enough about religion or the Bible to debate it, but from what I know it is NOT a sin to be homosexual. That I know of, nowhere in the Bible is it stated that being homosexual is a sin.

tallgeese: I don't quiet believe that for some reason, but it could be potentially true, just under certain conditions. Also, pheromones are actually pretty interesting. I read in a medical journal that there IS a legitimate scientific reason while men (on average) are more attracted to blonde-haired women - because they emit more pheromones.

i'm just sometimes so embarrassed because some christians are sooo narrow minded. they all look through a bible. and i guess that's what being a hardcore christian is all about. poor gays and lesbians, they're deprived due to a religion that might or might not be true to some people. by the way i looked up religions based on Christ...a website tells me 34,000. wow.

That's a whole other debate with no end right there :-P

eh, see the thing is we have, as a world, and as a country progressed from the time of the bible, and as such, like tallgeese said, we cannot look through a bible for the solutions for all circumstances.

There has been research done in this field but not enough. The reason for much of the delayed research is because the gay pride movement and there idea that homosexuals are born gay. This is basically another ignorant view because it has nothing to back it up, just the crazy idea of a few people. The little research that has been done showed that people become homosexual in the stages of their development. Acoording to many studies, a majority of homosexual men had weak relationships with their father or had no father figure while they were growing up. This resulted in less experience with men for them and the development of a different kind of view to them.

Which were unknown back then, so that's irrelevant altogether.

The only person showing ignorance here is you my friend, not anyone else. Not agreeing with someone's ideas doesn't mean that person is stupid or crazy or that the idea is crazy. Perhaps when there is more research done in the field you will see how "non-crazy" those ideas are ;)

this is gonna bite you in the butt. did you know that if you looked at your DNA, you'd be born with cancer and that cancer will not be detectable until it unveils itself with its due time. and among the circumstances, that cancerous part of your body may become more harmful to your body. and all of the gay peopel i know have a dominant father in their lives..im not saying that this beats ur argument, but just sharing with others.

edit: just wanted to mention one thing, ok if this land that my feet were on right now was named The United States of Christianity, i would definitely not argue with you. however, it is the United States of America. it is land, a country, a nation with diverse people. to think it that it should be based on CHristianity is surely selfish. oh, and Mike200 if you want to talk about how we should keep the laws of the Bible, with the Mods' permission, let's give it a go. because hey, the congress should outlaw working on sundays because it is the day of the sabbath right? oh and we should definitely make swearing in God's name a felony. i suggest you step down from your narrow Judeo CHristian values and come together as humans with other races and religions.
