True, but are the animals you mentioned gay?? Those animals are completely irrelevant to the post I made.

ok, i mised a lot while I was gone. First off, i believe that the bible is true, and that it was written through God. And since God knows everything, He'd be able to forsee the problems with gay marriage.

i just asked my friend who is a christian, i asked him what he thinks about gay marriages. he said i was gay for saying that it shoudl be allowed and that i shouldnt' be thinking it cuz im christian. that's real christian like of him to do.

PLEASE don't base all Christians on this one friend. I for one don't have a problem with homosexuals themselves, I in fact have hung out with gay people. I just hate the sin, and because of my religion, I am not going to make it easier to spread a sin. Call me narrow minded, maybe I am just a person who chooses to stand strong by my faith and not back down to the worldly, and what I believe, wrong, views.

I dont know about you guys, but homosexuality is something I do not tolerate when it comes to ethics. It completely violates the norms of my relgion which is hinduism. I have dont have anything against homosexuality but i really would not hang out with a gay person which is mostly because of my beliefs and somewhat of my personal ego.

so wait a second, just trying to get this straight: religion is the main reason why so many people think unconstitutionally? how hypocritical.

I worked with him on this as a project one and people actually opened their eyes for once. Homosexuality is just a bad choice that humans make.

choice? one of my mother's best friends is gay - he grew up in the Bible Belt of the US in some remote farm in Arkansas. he knew he was gay from the moment he knew himself. his mother shunned him - there was no way he was environmentally influenced into being gay. i know some people are, and i believe that there is a balance between nature and nurture, but to say that all gay people choose to be gay is simply untrue.

gay people cant be born gay. The main reason they are gay is because they have grown up around gay people or they are just mental.

Regardless of your religion, how does it effect you? I'm totally for you having your belief and faith in God, but to base all of your morals on a piece or literature which in [Genesis] tells us to not eat meat unless in times of famine, and then in [Leviticus] it tells us to eat all the meat we want; a document that condemns eating fruit of the fig tree about 21 times, and masturbation 18 times, but homosexuality itself only 6 times, is just ridiculous--because you know you eat fig and masturbate (or have least tried).
Homosexuality is NOT bestiality or incest. Humans marrying humans is very different than humans marrying animals, but I'm glad you aren't in a speciest mentality, and are open-minded enough to bring that up even though it's completely irrelevant and possible one of the worst parallels you could bring up.
We cannot allow civil unions for homosexuals either. Either the government needs to authorize gay marriages, or the institution of marriage needs to be abolished altogether. That may sound radical, but we can not allow America, of all things, to be a segregating country again. Separate but equal doesn't cut it. These homosexuals who want to marry, are tax-paying American citizens. Why do we then deny them the liberties we take so freely and don't share?
